Species Nav Four-Horned Chameleon
(chamaeleo quadricornis)

Chameleons are extremely docile. While most male chameleons will be. While most male chameleons will be upset at the site of another male of the same species, we have discovered that male Four-Horned Chameleons readily accept another male living in the same enclosure. However, the enclosure must be large enough so if there is any stress between the two, it will be minimized. We have kept pairs of male Four-Horned Chameleons together in cages that are 5' tall by 3' wide by 1.5' deep, with a lot of foliage. We meet Four-Horned Chameleon's high humidity requirement by placing a cool mist humidifier either in the room or in the cage they are placed in. If kept on for long periods of time, the humidifier actually creates a super-humid environment perfectly suited for them. When the humidifier is placed in their cage, they will bask in the mist created by the humidifier for hours on end. The use of these humidifiers also cools down the room so it can be suitable for a Four-Horned Chameleon to live and prosper in.
